Is Charters & Caldicott coming back?

Charters & Caldicott ended on February 14, 1985, after its single season aired on BBC One. The series concluded its run in early 1985, with no plans for future episodes. The show was a short-lived adaptation of the characters originally created in the Hitchcock film The Lady Vanishes.

Set in the United Kingdom, Charters & Caldicott was a comedy-drama mystery series that premiered in January 1985. It featured the two characters in their retirement years, with Caldicott residing in Marylebone and Charters living near Reigate. When a young girl was murdered in Caldicott's flat, the duo abandoned their usual routines to investigate the crime, blending elements of humor, mystery, and drama.

The cast included Robin Bailey as Charters and Michael Aldridge as Caldicott. The series had a total of six episodes, each approximately 50 minutes long.
