Captain Simian & The Space Monkeys was a weekly half-hour animated series that premiered on September 7, 1996. It was about Captain Charlie Simian, who was tasked with protecting the universe from the villain Nebula. To accomplish this, he assembled a crew of primates aboard his ship, the Primate Avenger, and embarked on adventures across space, including a visit to Earth and a quest for bananas.
The series was a comedy set in a science fiction universe and lasted for one season. It featured a cast of characters led by Captain Simian and his crew of spacefaring primates.
