Canada's Smartest Person was an interactive television series that challenged the traditional notions of intelligence. Premiering on October 1, 2014, in 2014, the series aimed to redefine what it means to be smart by featuring contestants competing across six different categories: musical, physical, social, logical, visual, and linguistic. Each week, four hopefuls faced off in front of a live studio audience, and in the series finale, seven finalists competed to earn the title of Canada's Smartest Person. The show emphasized a broad view of intelligence, moving beyond IQ and trivia to include diverse skills and talents.
The series was hosted by Jessi Cruickshank. It ran for three seasons, with a total of 25 episodes.
