Bosco Daiboken was an anime adventure series that premiered in 1986. It followed the story of Princess Apricot of Fountain land, who was kidnapped by the villain Hoodman and his mercenaries Jack and Franz to prevent her from returning home until a total eclipse of the Sun. Humanoid animals from Bosco forest, including Frog, Tutty, and Otter, helped her escape and set out on a journey to her homeland. Along the way, they encountered numerous adventures that emphasized the importance of water and helping others.
The cast included Yuko Minaguchi as Princess Apricot, Shigeru Nakahara as Frog, Kouichi Yamadera as Otter, Hiroya Ishimaru as Tatty, Kenichi Ogata as Franz, Banjo Ginga as Hoodman, Sanji Hase as Jack, and Kumiko Mizukura as Speak.
