The show was based on a manga and followed Satoru Fujinuma, a struggling manga author with a supernatural ability to go back in time and prevent tragedies. When he was framed for a murder he did not commit, Satoru found himself transported back to his childhood, a month before his classmate Kayo Hinazuki went missing. His new goal was to save Kayo and uncover the truth behind her disappearance.
The series starred Shin'nosuke Mitsushima as Satoru Fujinuma at age 29, Tao Tsuchiya as young Satoru, and Aoi Yūki as Kayo Hinazuki. It was rated 7.4 on TVMaze and had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes per episode.
