Blue Miburo is an action-adventure anime series that first premiered on October 19, 2024, on YTV. It is set in a historical period when the Black Ships arrive in Kyoto and the shogunate faces collapse. The series follows Nio Chirinu, a kindhearted boy living amid the chaos, who begins to discover his destiny. Throughout the story, Nio encounters two Miburo, Hijikata Toshizou and Souji Okita, members of the band of Mibu ronin who later become the famous Shinsengumi. The narrative centers on Nio’s efforts to help defend the city and forge a better future.

The series features a cast led by Shuuichirou Umeda as Nio Chirinu, Yōhei Azakami as Hijikata Toshizou, and Kensho Ono as Souji Okita. Other cast members include Chiaki Kobayashi as Saitou Hajime, Shun Horie as Tarou Tanaka, Tomokazu Sugita as Kondou Isami, Kikunosuke Toya as Heisuke Toudou, and Ryōta Iwasaki as Sanosuke Harada.
