Blood was a fantasy, romance, and medical drama that aired in 2015. It told the story of Park Ji Sang, a hepato-pancreato-biliary surgeon infected with a disease called VBT-01. After volunteering in Russia, he returned to Korea to work at Taemin Cancer Hospital alongside his friend Joo Hyun Woo. There, he met Yoo Ri Ta, a highly skilled but somewhat snooty doctor. The series followed their efforts to uncover the source of a mysterious virus causing strange symptoms in patients, blending medical intrigue with elements of romance and supernatural themes.
The main cast included An Jae Hyeon as Park Ji Sang, Koo Hye Sun as Yoo Ri Ta, and Ji Jin Hee as Lee Jae Wook. The show received a rating of 6.6 on TVMaze and each episode had a runtime of approximately 60 minutes.
