Blackstar was an animated action, adventure, and fantasy series that first premiered on September 12, 1981. It followed the story of astronaut John Blackstar, who, after his shuttle crashes on the planet Sagar, was rescued by the Trobbits. The series depicted Blackstar's quest to help the Trobbits resist the tyranny of the evil Overlord, who wielded the Power Sword. Blackstar's journey involved acquiring the Star Sword, which combined the Power Sword and the Star Sword to create the most powerful weapon imaginable, the Power Star.
The show featured a cast including George DiCenzo as John Blackstar, Alan Oppenheimer as Overlord, and Linda Gary as Mara.
