About Black Books
Black Books ended on April 15, 2004, on Channel 4. The show concluded after its third season, with the final episode airing on that date.
Black Books was a comedy series that aired from 2000 to 2004. It was set in a second-hand bookshop in London run by Bernard Black, an irritable and often inebriated bookseller who rarely showed interest in his shop or customers. His assistant Manny Bianco, a clumsy and well-meaning individual, tried to keep things running, while Fran, who operated a nearby shop, was a friend and occasional participant in their bizarre escapades. The series depicted their interactions and the chaotic, often absurd situations that arose from their personalities and relationships.
The show starred Dylan Moran as Bernard Black, Tamsin Greig as Fran Katzenjammer, and Bill Bailey as Manny Bianco. It received a rating of 8.4 on TVMaze and had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes per episode.
