Binbougami ga! was a fantasy anime series that premiered in 2012. It was a story about Sakura Ichiko, a 16-year-old girl with a charmed life, blessed with beauty, intelligence, and health. She possessed an excess of "Happiness Energy," which could make others happy but at the expense of depleting the happiness of her surroundings. This imbalance in energy levels prompted a Poverty God named Momiji to intervene, aiming to strip Ichiko of her energy-absorbing powers and restore the natural order.
The series featured a cast including Kana Hanazawa as Sakura Ichiko, Yumi Uchiyama as Momiji, Kikuko Inoue as Yamabuki, and others. It was rated 7.5 on TVMaze and had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes per episode.
