Being Ian ended on January 12, 2006, after its two-season run on YTV.
The show was a children’s and family series that aired from 2005 to 2006. It centered around Ian Kelly, a 12-year-old with a vivid imagination who believed his life was a stage and he was the director. The series depicted Ian’s adventures and misadventures as he navigated everyday life, often getting into strange situations inspired by his creative mind. Loosely based on the creator Ian James Corlett’s own childhood in Vancouver, the show combined humor with imaginative storytelling.
Created by Ian James Corlett and designed by filmmaker Marv Newland, it was produced by Studio B, known for other animated series like Yvon of the Yukon and D'Myna Leagues. The series was broadcast in multiple countries and remains a part of early 2000s children’s television programming.
