Is Basilisk coming back?

Basilisk ended on June 19, 2018, after its second season. The series was a historical action anime that aired on Tokyo MX. It depicted the intense conflicts between the Kouga and Iga ninja clans during the early 17th century, focusing on their fight for survival and the love story of Gennosuke and Oboro amidst the chaos.

The show was based on a novel by Yamada Fuutarou and was set in the Keichou Era 19 (A.D. 1614). It portrayed a brutal conflict where each ninja used their unique abilities to fight, as the clans were forced into deadly battles to determine the future of the shogunate. The narrative explored themes of loyalty, love, and the destructive nature of war, with the story culminating in a series of fierce confrontations that tested the strength and resolve of all involved.

The cast included Atsushi Imaruoka as Jimushi Jyubei, Katsuhiro Kitagawa as Kasumi Gyoubu, Katsui Taira as Udono Josuke, Ken Uo as Amayo Jingoro, Kenji Utsumi as Nenki Mino, Misa Watanabe as Akeginu, Ryusaku Chijiwa as Kazamachi Shogen, and Sho Hayami as Yakushiji Tenzen.
