The story was set in Kyoto, Japan, and followed a heroine who was transported back in time to the Bakumatsu period after meeting a mysterious man and a pocket watch. The series depicted her efforts to find a way back to her own time while navigating the complex social and political landscape of the era. Throughout her journey, she encountered a man who declared, "I will live for you," and their relationship became a central element of the plot.
