When Rizzuto was arrested and extradited to Colorado's Supermax Prison for the 1981 murders of three Bonanno crime family members, his empire started to fall apart. The series depicted the struggles of Rizzuto and his associates, culminating in a revenge story that unfolded after his release from prison in October 2012.
