Baby Chimp Rescue was a documentary series that followed the efforts of wildlife vet Jimmy Desmond and his wife Jenny as they cared for orphaned chimpanzees. The series showcased their work at a home for rescued chimps, initially saving two infants from the illegal pet trade. Over time, their sanctuary grew to accommodate 21 orphans, and the Desmonds aimed to build a new forest sanctuary to better mimic their natural environment. With the help of chimp expert Ben Garrod, they worked to teach the orphans essential survival skills they would have learned from their mothers in the wild.
