Aquarius was a drama and crime series set in 1967 that explored the cultural upheaval of the era. The story followed LA Police Sergeant Sam Hodiak as he investigated the disappearance of a young woman, leading him into the world of hippies, cults, and the counterculture movement. The series depicted the turbulent social landscape of the late 1960s, with themes involving drugs, sex, and political activism, and was inspired by real-life events surrounding the rise of Charles Manson.

The show featured a cast led by David Duchovny as Sam Hodiak, with Gethin Anthony portraying Charles Manson and Grey Damon as undercover cop Brian Shafe.
