Angel Heart was a Japanese anime series that aired from October 3, 2005, to September 25, 2006. It was a fantasy action romance set in a parallel universe that shared characters with City Hunter but was not a direct continuation. The story followed a young Taiwanese assassin known as "Glass Heart" who survived a suicide attempt through a heart transplant. During her recovery, she experienced strange dreams that led her to Japan in search of her donor, Kaori Makimura, a former partner of Ryo Saeba. The series explored her journey and the mysterious circumstances surrounding her transplanted heart.
The cast included Akira Kamiya as Ryo Saeba, Kawasaki Mao as Shan-In "Glass Heart" Lee, and Megumi Ogata as Yan Fanyui.
