The show explored the cultural impact of the show as well as the personal and professional life of Cornelius and the artists involved.
The series featured Sinqua Walls as Don Cornelius, Katlyn Nichol as Simone Clarke, Christopher Jefferson as Jeffrey "JT" Tucker, Iantha Richardson as Tessa Lauren, Jason Dirden as Gerald Aims, Kelly Price as Brianne Clarke, and Jelani Winston as Kendall Clarke.
