Amensalism was a fantasy, romance, and mystery series that premiered in 2020. The story followed Cheng You Kuan, who at the age of ten experienced a traumatic event that left him haunted by dreams of death. These dreams turned out to be visions of future deaths, and for nearly two decades, he was plagued by the knowledge of impending tragedies involving those around him. His life changed when he met Be Ke Zhen, a woman who inadvertently showed him that fate could be altered. As their relationship developed, they uncovered a shared connection to the tragic accident from years earlier, which bound them by fate and haunted their pasts.

The show starred Wang Zi as Cheng You Kuan, Lorene Ren as Be Ke Zhen, Andy Wu as Li Yao Qing, and Yao Yi Ti as Xu Ming Fei. The series did not have a rated score on TVMaze and each episode had a runtime of approximately 90 minutes. It was a single-season show with 13 episodes, exploring themes of destiny, trauma, and hope within its fantasy and mystery genres.
