Amanchu! was a Japanese anime series that premiered in 2016. It was a comedy and slice-of-life show centered around the lives of high school girls who shared a love for scuba diving. The story followed Hikari Kohinata, a cheerful girl living near the ocean, who quickly befriended Futaba Ooki, a girl she met at school. The series depicted their friendship and the developing relationship between the two, as well as their interactions with other classmates and their shared passion for diving.
The cast included Eri Suzuki as Hikari Kohinata, Ai Kayano as Futaba Ooki, Yurika Kubo as Komon Cha, Shizuka Itou as Mato Hidori, Saori Ōnishi as Ai Ninomiya, Yuichiro Umehara as Makoto Ninomiya, and Kikuko Inoue as Kino Kohinata. The show received a rating of 5.7 on TVMaze and each episode had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes.
