Akiba's Trip: The Animation was a supernatural action anime set in the district of Akihabara. It was about a world where creatures called "Synthisters" invaded the shopping area, feeding on people's social energy and will to live. The story followed characters who fought these enemies by exposing them to sunlight, which required ripping off their clothes to defeat them.
The show featured a cast led by Haruki Ishiya as Tamotsu Denkigai, Rie Takahashi as Matome Mayonaka, and Marika Kōno as Niwaka Denkigai.
