The show was a comedy and mystery series that followed Kirigamine Ryo, the vice-president of the detective club at Koigakubo Academy. Despite her confidence, her reasoning often contained holes, and she struggled to solve mysteries on her own. Throughout the series, she gradually reached the correct conclusions with assistance from her friends and classmates. The story also featured an unusual biology teacher named Ishizaki Hiromi, played by Mokomichi Hayami.

The cast included Haruna Kawaguchi as Ryo Kirigamine, Mokomichi Hayami as Hiromi Ishizaki, Alice Hirose as Naoko Takabaya, Shotaro Mamiya as Satoshi Arakida, Noriko Iriyama as Chitose Karasuyama, and Masanobu Takashima as Okura Soshigaya.
