Action was a comedy series that premiered in 1999. It was a politically incorrect show that was known for its rude, sexist, and homophobic humor, which many found to be hilarious. The series followed Peter Dragon, a movie producer who was struggling after his latest film failed. He decided his next project would be the greatest action film ever made, but when his company bought the wrong script, his rage drove him to pursue the right movie and create an unforgettable action film.
The cast included Jack Plotnick as Stuart Glazer, Buddy Hackett as Lonnie Dragon, Jay Mohr as Peter Dragon, Jarrad Paul as Adam Rafkin, and Illeana Douglas as Wendy Ward. The show was part of the comedy genre and aired for 13 episodes, each approximately 30 minutes long. It remains a notable example of late 90s edgy humor on television.
