Carlos Ghosn was born 9 March 1954 in Porto Velho, Brazil. He studied at the École des Mines de Paris and the Collège Notre-Dame de Jamhour. He was CEO of Michelin North America, chairman and CEO of Renault, chairman of AvtoVAZ, and chairman of Mitsubishi Motors. He is widely known for having dramatically fled house arrest in 2019, while awaiting trial on financial impropriety charges.
