Veep is an American political satire comedy television series that aired on HBO from April 22, 2012, to May 12, 2019. The series follows the personal life and political career of Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), Vice President and, later, President of the United States. Meyer campaigns for her party's nomination in the 2012 presidential election and is initially the front-runner, but ultimately loses the nomination to Stuart Hughes. Meyer begins her presidential campaign at the end of the third season. The sixth season sees Meyer attempting to run for president again in the seventh season.
