Necaxa was founded on August 21, 1923 in Mexico City by the Scottish-born engineer William H. Frasser. It was the first team to win the double in Mexico, winning the League and the Cup in the same season, this in 1932-33. The club has 12 titles in its record (three in the League, four in the Mexico Cup, two in the Champion of Champions, one in the Mexican Super Cup and one in CONCACAF Champions Cup)
