Alejandro Sanz is a Spanish musician, singer and composer. He was born in Madrid in 1968, the youngest son of María Pizarro and Jesús Sánchez. He is notable for his flamenco-influenced ballads. He has won 24 Latin Grammy Awards and 4 Grammy Awards. His 1997 breakthrough album Más garnered international success. In 2002, he became the first Spanish artist to record an MTV Unplugged album.
