The Ultra Series is a Japanese science fiction media franchise owned by Tsuburaya Productions. The Ultraman series is centered on a fictional alien race of superheroes. The 1934 kaiju film The Great Buddha Arrival presumably served as one of inspiration sources for the franchise.
