When does True Detective return?

Nic Pizzolatto's first novel, Galveston, was published in 2006. The first season of True Detective aired in 2014, starring Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Monaghan, Michael Potts, and Tory Kittles. The second season aired in 2015, starring Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch, Kelly Reilly, and Vince Vaughn. The third season, titled True Detective: Night Country, aired in 2019, starring Mahershala Ali, Carmen Ejogo, Stephen Dorff, Scoot McNairy, and Ray Fisher. A fifth season, with Issa López returning as the showrunner, is in development.
