When does The Shards return?

The Shards is an upcoming American drama television series adaptation of the novel of the same name by Bret Easton Ellis. It is produced by Ryan Murphy and is set to broadcast on FX. In April 2023, it was reported that Ellis would write the series based on his novel for HBO. In January 2025, Ellis revealed that the adaptation was no longer being developed at HBO, following creative differences.
