The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh was the first time a major Disney character headlined an animated, made-for-television series as well as the first Disney television series based on a major animated film. The series depicts the everyday lives of Christopher Robin and his 9 companions Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, Eeyore, Owl and Gopher. The show was well received by both children and their parents.
