The Gilded Age is an American historical drama television series created and written by Julian Fellowes for HBO. The series is set in the 1880s in New York City. It follows Marian Brook, a young woman entering 1882 New York's rigid social scene. The show explores conflicts of new money, old money, African-American upper class, and the domestic workers in service to the other three groups. At the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, the second season received six nominations.
