The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself is a British fantasy drama television series created by Joe Barton for Netflix. Based on a Young adult fiction novel Half Bad, the series tells the story of Nathan Byrne, an illegitimate son of a dangerous witch, Marcus Edge.
Nathan Byrne was secretly monitored by The Council of Fairborn Witches for the first 16 years of his life out of fear he'd turn out like his father. He seizes an opportunity to escape that doubles as the beginning of a life-or-death quest, during which he builds alliances with fellow witches Annalise and Gabriel.
