Sex and the City is an American romantic comedy-drama television series. It premiered in the United States on June 6, 1998, and concluded on February 22, 2004, with 94 episodes broadcast over six seasons. The series follows the lives of four female friends living in New York City. Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) is the narrator and central character of the series. A sequel series, And Just Like That..., premiered on HBO Max on December 9, 2021, without Cattrall.
Carrie Bradshaw lives in Manhattan and writes a column called "Sex and the City" The end of season two also marks the end of characters' talking directly to the camera. Carrie and her friends talk about having sex "like men", meaning without emotional attachment.
