Severance is an American science fiction psychological thriller television series. It stars Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Jen Tullock, Dichen Lachman, Michael Chernus, John Turturro, Patricia Arquette, and Sarah Bock. The series follows employees at Lumon Industries, a biotechnology corporation which performs "severance," a procedure that splits a person's memories between work and their personal life. The first season aired from February 18 until April 8, 2022, and its second season from January 17 to March 21, 2025. Severance has been renewed for a third season.
Biotechnology corporation Lumon Industries uses a medical procedure called "severance" to separate the memories of their employees depending on whether they are at work or not. When a severed worker is at work, they are dubbed "innies" and cannot remember anything of their lives or the world outside. Season one centers on one severed employee, Mark, who gradually uncovers a web of conspiracies at Lumon.
