Rome is an American-British historical drama television series released in 2005–2007. The series is set in the 1st century BC, during Ancient Rome's transition from Republic to Empire. The lead protagonists are two soldiers named Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo, who find their lives intertwined with key historical events. Thirty-eight actors are credited in the show's opening credits when they appear, with only Kevin McKidd, Ray Stevenson, Polly Walker, Kerry Condon and James Purefoy appearing in every episode.
