The series is both a direct sequel and a spin-off to the original series. It follows Tariq St. Patrick navigating his new life, in which his desire to shed his father's legacy comes up against the mounting pressure to do so. The series was renewed for a third season in January 2023. The fourth season will be the series' final season.
