Murderbot is an upcoming American science fiction action comedy television series for Apple TV+. It is based on the book series The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells. Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz are writing, directing and producing the series with Wells involved as a consulting producer. The series is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV+ on May 16, 2025.
A sentient security android must mask the ability for free thought whilst completing dangerous assignments. The android is simultaneously drawn to humans and appalled at their weakness.
