Jazz is a 2001 television documentary miniseries directed by Ken Burns. It was broadcast on PBS in 2001 and was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series. The documentary concerned the history of jazz music in the United States from 1917 to 2001. Swing musicians Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington are the central figures.
