The series premiered on Apple TV+ on April 14, 2023. The cast for the series was revealed in January 2023, with Ava Louise Murchison starring in the titular role. The entire series was entirely filmed in Canada (mostly in Toronto), while some episodes were filmed in a location of Costa Rica and Africa.
