Paul Francis Gadd, better known by his stage name Gary Glitter, achieved fame and success during the 1970s and 1980s. His career ended after he was convicted of downloading child pornography in 1999. He was deported from Cambodia on suspected child sexual abuse charges in 2002 and settled in Vietnam, where a court found him guilty of obscene acts with minors
