Hannah Montana is an American teen sitcom created by Michael Poryes, Rich Correll, and Barry O'Brien. It aired on Disney Channel for four seasons between March 2006 and January 2011. The series centers on Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus), a teenage girl living a double life as famous pop singer Hannah Montana. Miley has strong relationships with her brother Jackson and father Robby Ray, as well as her best friends Lilly Truscott and Oliver Oken.
Miley Stewart is a 14-year-old middle school student who appears to live a normal life but has a secret identity, pop singer Hannah Montana, an alias she chose so she could have a private life away from the public spotlight. The central conflict of the series is the disconnect between the public and private lives of Miley, and the lengths to which she must go to secure her life as a normal teenager and protect her relationships with her friends.
