Everybody Hates Chris was created by Chris Rock and Ali LeRoi and aired on UPN from 2005 to 2006. The series is based loosely on Rock's personal experiences as a teenager living in Bedford–Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York City from 1982 to 1987.
