Claudia Piñeiro was born in Burzaco, Buenos Aires Province. She is best known for crime and mystery novels. Six of her novels have been translated into English by Bitter Lemon Press and Charco Press. Her novel Elena Knows was shortlisted for the International Booker Prize.
