Sean John Combs was born November 4, 1969, in Harlem, New York City. He is a former rapper, record producer, record executive, and dancer. He founded his own record label, Bad Boy Records, in 1993. Combs's debut studio album, No Way Out (1997), peaked atop the Billboard 200 and sold over 7 million copies in the US. Two of his singles, "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down" and "I'll Be Missing You", topped the Billboard Hot 100. He became the first rapper to have five US number-one singles.
