The four-hour medical thriller was originally broadcast on A&E on September 3–4, 2012. The miniseries was directed by Mikael Salomon and produced by Ridley Scott and his brother Tony Scott. The film is dedicated to Tony Scott, who died in August 2012, only weeks before its broadcast premiere.
