It stars Bill Paxton as the patriarch of a fundamentalist Mormon family in Utah that practices polygamy. Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloƫ Sevigny, and Ginnifer Goodwin portray his wives. The series was a success for HBO, running for five seasons. It received widespread critical acclaim and earned several major awards and nominations throughout its run.
