It depicted the story of three young adults in 1980 Belgium, as they navigated the challenges of early adulthood amid a turbulent national backdrop. Set during the early 1980s, the show followed Inge, a law student at Université Libre de Bruxelles, and her brother Marc and his friend Franky, who joined the Belgian Gendarmerie. Over the course of the season, their initial hopes and innocence faded as they became entangled in the darker aspects of their country’s history, including the infamous Nijvel Gang. The series explored themes of loss, disillusionment, and the impact of national trauma on individual lives. The cast included Tijmen Govaerts as Marc De Vuyst, Aimé Claeys as Franky Verhellen, and Mona Mina Leon as Vicky Verhellen.
